Some Recommendations
- Bringing a packed lunch and snacks for the hikes, as there are no food vendors along the trails. Make sure to bring plenty of water as well.
- Alto Paraíso has only one bank branch (Itaú), but ATM services in the city are unreliable. It is highly recommended to bring cash for your stay. There are also Banco do Brasil ATMs, but they operate only during banking hours.
- Some establishments accept credit cards, but most only accept debit cards.
- Due to the high altitude, the climate is generally cool, and nights can get quite cold. Don’t forget to bring warm clothing!
- We recommend bringing two pairs of hiking shoes, as one might get wet, ensuring you have a dry pair for the next day’s hike.
- The region offers hot air balloon rides, zip-lining, rafting, and rappelling. If you're interested, it’s essential to book in advance to secure your spot. These are unique experiences in one of the most stunning landscapes in the world!
